Introduction:

November 14th is a significant date in the diabetes calendar as it marks the World Diabetes Day, The Alliance for Diabetes & Liver Diseases is striving to create awareness in community at all levels against fight for the growing burden of non communicable diseases in our country. The Alliance for Diabetes and liver diseases is arranging a Public awareness program on 14th Nov (in which we expect to cater an audience of at least 700 people) that will include screening for diabetes and its complication among other activities with a focus on healthy nutrition and physical activity as you know the theme of World Diabetes Day, from 2014 to 2016 will be healthy living and diabetes and this year, there’s a focus on starting each day right by having a healthy breakfast.

About World Diabetes Day:

World Diabetes Day is the primary global awareness campaign of the diabetes world and is held on November 14 each year. It was introduced in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization in response to the alarming rise of diabetes around the world.
